Award winning cabaret artist Godfrey Johnson to perform at Evita se Perron in Darling
Godfrey Johnson will perform a cabaret at the Perron in Darling, featuring the work of Noel Coward, Jacques Brel, Tori Amos, Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears and many more. The show also includes some of Johnson’s most recent compositions.
In 2007, Johnson won the prestigious Fleur du Cap Theatre Award for Best Performance in a Revue or Cabaret and was nominated for the same award in 2009 for his one man show, Flirting with Coward that was directed by Sanjin Muftic. He recently played the lead in Robert Silke’s critically acclaimed film, The Satyr of Springbok Heights. His most recent cabaret, The Shadow of Brel has received praise from both critics and audiences alike.
In 2009 Johnson and Claire Watling enjoyed a hugely successful run of Kissed by Brel at The Jermyn Street Theatre in London.
